trouble getting started

can someone explain to me, how to get started using killarms???
my original maplestory client got messed up so i had to download the newest 0.54 patch and i downloaded the OdinMS package and overwrote all the files and then threw in the killarMS.exe file into the maplestory folder and now it begins to load the game, but it stops in the middle of loading and tells me to update my client
anyone know what i need to do?
